Bhumi pujan
Bhumi pujan is done on the plot, before foundation work. The pandit worships the ground the family is about to build on, with Ganesh and a small havan.
Bhumi pujan
भूमि पूजन
The rite
Bhoomi pujan is worship of the land or plot before construction begins, asking permission of Bhudevi and calming the site with kalash, nag remembrance, and often a small havan. Pandit Mrityunjay Sharma travels to your Bengaluru plot, villa layout, or farmhouse gate when road access allows, and adapts the vidhi for a corner of the site or a temporary mandap when the ground is still uneven.
Time at the house: About 2 to 3 hours with havan
Pandit Mrityunjay Sharma performs this as a home visit in Bengaluru. Share your area and preferred slot on WhatsApp; the samagri list is sent before the day. This page does not list fees or promise worldly results.
Why families book it
Builders' teams pause for an hour when a pandit marks the northeast and explains where the future foundation will sit.
Families want North Indian mantra even when the architect is South Indian and the labour crew speaks multiple languages.
When families ask
- Before breaking soil for foundation or borewell
- When RERA flat handover is near and elders want land worship first
- After buying agricultural land near Bengaluru outskirts
- When vastu consultant asks for ceremonial start before brickwork
- If a previous owner ritual left elders uneasy and a fresh sankalp is wanted
- On a shubh muhurat day chosen with your jyotish or family calendar
Before the day
Clear plastic and nails from the northeast corner. Arrange shade—a tent if sun is harsh—and drinking water for workers who stand nearby. Keep a flat stone or brick for kalash placement. Share GPS pin and gate pass rules with society or layout security on WhatsApp.
