How is Udaka Shanti different from Satyanarayan puja?

Satyanarayan is a distinct katha puja to Lord Vishnu. Udaka Shanti is mantra-heavy water consecration from Yajurveda. They may be sequential on different days, not interchangeable.

Must all family members be present?

At least the homeowners should receive prokshana. Others join as possible; sankalpa can name absent members.

Can Udaka Shanti happen in a flat?

Is a full Yajur path mandatory?
